This is the fourteenth category of the 11th Annual AFT Film Awards to be announced. The AFT Awards are my own personal choices for the best in film of each year and the best in television of each season. The AFT Film Awards include the traditional Oscar categories and a number of additional specific honors. Nominees are pictured in the order I’ve ranked them. Baby Driver, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, The Shape of Water, The Space Between Us, War for the Planet of the Apes

The winner:
Dunkirk (Richard King and Alex Gibson) spent a good deal of its time up in the air, out at sea, or under threat of attack, guided marvelously by its sound effects.
