Dame Barbara recovers from heart operation

News this morning that Dame Barbara Windsor is in hospital recovering from an operation to fit a pacemaker. The operation was required after some side effects caused by the medication Barbara takes to combat the symptoms of Alzheimer's. 

I heard the news on BBC Radio London however it's also all over the tabloid press this morning, with quotes from both Barbara's husband Scott and her close friend Christopher Biggins. Barbara has spent the last eight days in hospital and apparently is recovering really well from the surgery.

Dame Barbara opened up about her Alzheimer's diagnosis earlier this year and has received a huge amount of praise and good wishes from friends and fans alike for the way she and her husband Scott are facing this terrible illness.
